“An Englishman’s home is his castle”
Today’s project365 picture comes from one of our archives taken in Perranporth, Cornwall. It was an overcast day but ever the optimists that we are we decided to take a trip to the beach armed with our trusty cameras. The tide was out and the beach almost deserted due to the dark clouds and the showers they had started producing.
We originally began snapping away at some caves and rock pools, regularly taking refuge beneath the naturally formed arches as the heavens opened, as the rain subdued we trekked a little further on when I stumbled across this almost perfectly preserved sand castle. It sat deserted all alone, no children playing nearby and no other sand structures in sight, it sums up our theme perfectly.
